Abstract

V diplomskem delu sem raziskovala čustveno inteligentnost predšolskih otrok. Raziskovala sem 13 dimenzij čustvene inteligentnosti. Dotaknila sem se razvoja temeljnih in kompleksnejših čustev. Zanimal me je otrokov čustveni razvoj in razvijanje čustvene inteligentnosti v vrtcu. Osredotočila sem se na vpliv narava-dednost in učenje-vzgoja na razvoj čustvene inteligentnosti. Pri empiričnem delu diplomskega dela sem primerjala otroke iz vrtca Cerkvenjak - Sv. Andraž in otroke iz vrtca Jožice Flander v Mariboru. V vprašalniku je sodelovalo skupaj šest vzgojiteljic, torej tri iz mestnih vrtcev in tri iz podeželskih vrtcev. Vzgojiteljice so ocenjevale otroke na podlagi priložene ocenjevalne lestvice in anketnega vprašalnika. V anketnem vprašalniku je ocenjenih 133 otrok, 69 otrok iz mestnega okolja in 64 otrok iz podeželja. Pri obdelavi podatkov sem otroke razdelila v dve starostni skupini, saj sem ugotavljala, ali starost vpliva na razvoj čustvene inteligentnosti. Prav tako sem primerjala rezultate vprašalnikov glede na spol, na kraj bivanja in njihovo starost. Rezultati so pokazali, da obstajajo razlike v čustveni inteligentnosti pri otrocih glede na starost, spol in demografsko okolje, in sicer je večja čustvena inteligentnost prisotna pri starejših predšolskih otrocih, pri deklicah in pri otrocih s podeželja.

Secondary abstract: In my thesis I have been researching the emotional intelligence of preschool children. The research includes 13 dimensions of emotional intelligence. I mention the development of basic and more complex emotions. Just as well I was interested in the children's emotional development and the development of emotional intelligence in kindergarten. I focus on the influence of nature - heredity and learning - education on the development of emotional intelligence. Within the empirical part of my thesis I compare the children of the kindergarten Cerkvenjak - Sv. Andraž and the children of the kindergarten Vrtec Jožice Flander in Maribor. A total of six kindergarten teachers assisted in the survey - three from urban kindergartens and three from rural kindergartens. The kindergarten teachers were assessing the children on the basis of the enclosed assessment scale and a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to assess 133 children - 69 children from urban environment and 69 children from rural environment. While processing the data I divided the children into two different age groups as my aim was to research, if age, too, had an impact on the development of emotional intelligence. I also compared the results of the questionnaires considering sex, place of residence and age. The results showed that there are differences in emotional intelligence of children with regard to age, sex and demographic environment. In fact, emotional intelligence was present with older preschool children, girls and children from rural environment.
