Abstract

Secondary title: DEVELOPING MOTOR SKILLS OF TWO TO THREE - YEAR - OLD CHILDREN
Secondary abstract: The diploma work entitled "Developing physical fitness of children aged two to three years" in its theoretical part focuses on motor abilities of children aged two to three years, the influence on motor development, means of motor abilities development, the importance of motor/sports activities and physical characteristics for the integrated development of children aged two to three years, the contents of physical activities in the curriculum for kindergartens, and the possibilities for physical fitness implementation in the kindergarten Poljčane. The empirical part presents the results of a pedagogical experiment, in which children of the experimental group were subject to additional physical/sports activities to develop their motor abilities, and children, who did not participate in these additional activities. The results show that those children, who received additional, planned and professionally guided physical/sports activities in the period of two months, achieved better results in motor ability testing than those children, who were not subject to additional physical/sports activities for the motor ability development.
