Secondary title: | INFLUENCE OF SUPERCRITICAL CARBON DIOXIDE ON SURVIVAL OF EXTREMOPHILIC FUNGI |
Secondary abstract: | The purpose of the diploma work paper was to examine the survival of different fungi cultures after the exposure to the supercritical CO2 (SC CO2) when cultivated on the regular fertile soil (MEA) and on the fertile soil with lower water activity (with added salt - MEA + 10 % NaCl). The addition of salt results in thicker cell-walls in funghi and what causes (provokes) better compensation of changes in TURGUR under the condition of long exposure to high pressure. Findings were used to sort out the funghi that can survive when exposed to the SC CO2 at the presure of 300 bar and to come to a conclusion whether they take it better on the regular fertile soil (MEA) or on the fertile soil with added salt - MEA + 10 % NaCl). |
