diplomsko delo
Abstract
Branje omogoča dostop do sveta. Učenci imajo negativen odnos do obveznega domačega branja.

READING HABITS OF PUPILS IN THE THIRD TRIAD IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF ORMOŽ |
Secondary abstract: |
Reading is a window to the world. People learn to read their whole lives, which makes learning to read a lifelong process. The present paper deals with the reading habits of pupils in the third triad in the municipality of Ormož and is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part defines reading and describes pupils' reading skills. It also theoretically defines types of reading, reading development, reading motivation, reading literacy, the reading badge as well as the School Year of the Book. The empirical part of the paper finds answers to asked questions about the reading habits of third triad pupils, especially in connection with the pupils' leisure time, how much and what they read as well as their attitude towards works of fiction. It also aims to find out if and how often pupils visit libraries. The main focus was on home reading and the reading badge. The survey was conducted in four primary schools in the municipality of Ormož. The results show that the interest for reading is declining as the pupils get older. Also, there are notable differences in the interest for reading between boys and girls. The girls read more often than boys. Pupils like reading magazines and newspapers the most, but as far as fiction is concerned, dramatic texts are their favourite. One of the most important factors for choosing a book with pupils is an interesting title. Most pupils borrow books from public libraries. The pupils have a negative attitude towards obligatory home reading. They like taking part in the reading badge, however boys less than girls. |
