magistrsko delo
Abstract
Telekomunikacijska podjetja morajo svojim uporabnikom poleg vseh storitev in izdelkov zagotavljati tudi varnost njihovih osebnih podatkov, varnost omrežja, elektronskega poslovanja in nuditi različne varnostne opcije. V magistrskem delu so opisani vsi vidiki informacijske varnosti pri štirih slovenskih telekomunikacijskih podjetjih: Telekom Slovenije, A1 Slovenija d. d., Telemach in T-2 d. o. o. Varnost osebnih podatkov podjetja zagotavljajo z upoštevanjem splošne uredbe EU o varstvu podatkov, na podlagi katere so sestavili svoje pogoje oziroma politiko varstva osebnih podatkov.

Information security through the eyes of telecommunication service users |
Secondary abstract: |
In addition to all of the services and products, telecommunication companies must provide their users with security of their personal data, network security, electronic commerce and a variety of security options. In this master’s thesis, we describe all aspects of information security in four Slovenian telecommunication companies: Telekom Slovenije, A1 Slovenija d.d., Telemach and T-2 d.o.o. These companies ensure the security of personal data by complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, based on which they have drawn up their own terms and conditions or personal data protection policy. All companies undertake to ensure adequate security and integrity of their networks and services. Moreover, they are obliged to report any breaches of security or integrity to the Agency for Communication Networks and Services (AKOS). Companies allow their users to manage their subscription, as well as e-commerce, which involves buying and selling goods and services online, processing payments and exchanging information. Due to security risks involved in such processes, all telecommunication companies offer a variety of security options to their customers. For this master thesis, we carried out a number of interviews and found that companies keep their users informed about information security or security problems which may arise. In addition, they provide regular training on information security for their employees. Our survey has shown that the trust of users of telecommunications services does not differ according to the operator they have a subscription with. What is more, we established that more than half of the surveyed users pay their telecommunications bills online. The less and the more educated respondents do not differ in their perception of security risks. Thus there is no correlation between the occurrence of security problems among users and the use of security options offered by telecommunication companies. |
