Abstract

Turistični razvoj Term Ptuj z bližnjo okolico je v veliki meri odvisen od mesta Ptuj, ki je zelo znano, najstarejše slovensko mesto. Geografska lega in iskanje nafte v sedemdesetih letih dvajsetega stoletja sta omogočila odkritje termalne vode, ki jo na podlagi balneokemijskih karakteristik uvrščamo med termomineralne vode. Zato je v kraj prihajalo še več turistov, ki so skupaj z ugodnimi naravnimi in družbenimi dejavniki pripomogli k razvoju in razširitvi Term Ptuj. Turistična sezona traja vse leto, vrhunec je poleti. Terme Ptuj pa ne omogočajo samo kopanja temveč tudi veliko drugih možnosti rekreacije in izletništva. Zgodovina mesta Ptuj in z njo pogojena kultura, umetnost, običaji in izročila pripomorejo še k večji prepoznavnosti Term Ptuj. Danes turistična dejavnost, ki jo izvajajo Terme Ptuj prispevajo h gospodarskem napredku kraja in njegovih prebivalcev, hkrati pa se zavzemajo za ohranjanje naravnega in sociokulturnega okolja. Vsaka dejavnost pa ima negativne posledice. Vedno več turistov pomeni tudi vedno večjo obremenitev za okolje.

Secondary abstract:	Tourism development of Terme Ptuj and the surrounding area is dependent highly on the city of Ptuj, which is the oldest and very well known Slovenian city. Geographical position and search for oil in the 1970s of twentieth century enabled a discovery of thermal water, which is on the basis of balneochemical characteristics classified as thermomineral water. That is way so many tourists came to that place, who together with favourable natural and social factors contributed to development and expansion of Terme Ptuj. Tourist season lasts the whole year, while the height of the season is reached in the summer. Terme Ptuj doesn't offer just bathing but also many other possibilities of recreation and excursions. History of the city Ptuj and with it connected culture, art, customs and traditions contribute to bigger recognisability of Terme Ptuj. Today tourist activity, which is implemented by Terme Ptuj, contributes to economic improvement of the city and its residents and at the same time Terme Ptuj stands for maintenance of natural and socio-cultural environment. Every activity has also negative consequences. More tourists mean also bigger environmental burden.
