Abstract

Secondary title: Computation of Tesla coil parameters
Secondary abstract: This Bachelor thesis presents procedure of Tesla transformer parameters determination. To understand the operation of Tesla transformer, principle of basic operation and procedure of determining constructional parameters of it, was presented first. With finite element method (FEM), the energy of electromagnetic and electrostatic field was calculated, using FEMM. Based on the results, self and mutual inductances of single windings and capacitance of secondary winding was determined. Using Matlab, voltage termination response in primary and secondary circuit was simulated. The voltage response in single oscillating circuit was calculated with mathematical model. These methods can be used to make a Tesla transformer.
