(magistrsko delo)
Abstract
Uvod: Zdravstveni delavci imajo pomembno vlogo pri podpori dojenja in uvajanju mešane prehrane. Prehranjevanje dojenčka v prvem letu življenja delimo v tri različna in pomembna obdobja.

| Secondary abstract: |
IIntroduction: Health workers play an important role in supporting breastfeeding and the introduction of mixed diet. The nutrition of an infant during the first year of life is divided into three different but equally important phases. The aim of the master's thesis was to find out what role the community nurse plays in breastfeeding and in the introduction of mixed diet for newborns and infants, and what problems she encounters most often.
Methods: For the theoretical part, the descriptive method was used, and for the research part, the quantitative research methodology was used. For the purpose of the research, two questionnaires were prepared. One was for community nurses and the other for mothers. The research sample included 30 community nurses and 50 mothers. The obtained results were processed with descriptive statistics and presented in graphs. A value of p < 0.05 determined the limit of statistical significance.
Results: Mothers had the most problems with breastfeeding because of milk let-down and because of nipples. Community nurses observed the most common problem in breastfeeding were problems with nipples. 70.0 % of mothers said that they received useful advice on breastfeeding from the community nurse, which improved breastfeeding. All community nurses believed that they play an important role in initiating breastfeeding. In addition, they all think that the relationship and communication between community nurses and mothers regarding breastfeeding and the introduction of mixed diet are very important.
Discussion and conclusion: Breastfeeding and the introduction of a mixed diet are extremely important for a child. Community nurse and partner support play a very important role. We believe that mothers should be more consistent in introducing the foods according to the latest guidelines. |
