Abstract

Okoljska vzgoja ima pomembno vlogo v vzgojno-izobraževalnih institucijah in tako postaja učinkovito sredstvo, ki na dolgoročno omogoča ohranitev okolja, obenem je pomemben dejavnik pri dvigovanju okoljske zavesti posameznika oz. celotne družbe. Okoljsko izobraževanje zaseda vedno pomembnejše mesto pri odgovornem odnosu do narave, kar pa seveda pomeni dolgoročno delo, saj tako širokih kompetenc, kot jih obsega okoljska vzgoja, ni mogoče usvojiti čez noč. Pomembno vprašanje, ki se nam ob vsem tem poraja, je, ali prebujena okoljska zavest vodi tudi v temu primerno ravnanje? Namen diplomskega dela je ugotoviti, kako so slovenski osnovnošolci okoljsko ozaveščeni, in ali ravnajo skladno s svojo okoljsko zavestjo. Prav tako nas je zanimalo ravnanje njihovih staršev, saj vemo, da se vzgoja začne doma v družini. Izpostavljena sta dva okoljska projekta, ki sta v slovenskem prostoru zelo zastopana, Ekošola in Zdrava šola. Izvedena je bila anketa, katere vzorec je zajemal 343 učencev osmih razredov, katerih šole so vključene v oba projekta (Ekošola in Zdrava šola), nekatere v nobenega od teh projektov. Pri iskanju razlik, ali vključenost v kateri projekt pomembno vpliva na ozaveščenost oz. na ravnanje učencev, smo našli le nekatere razlike. V nekaterih primerih učenci Zdravih šol ravnajo odgovorneje kot učenci Ekošol. Učenci Ekošol so veliko večji potrošniki kot učenci Zdravil šol, saj ti veliko manj kupujejo izdelke, ki jih nujno ne potrebujejo. Na Ekošolah imajo učitelji večji vpliv na razvijanje učenčeve pozitivne zavesti do okolja kot na Zdravih šolah. Ima pa zato družina nekoliko večji vpliv na učence v Zdravih šolah kot na Ekošolah. Načelo vsake šole je, da vzgoji in izobrazi učence v odgovorne osebe, ki bodo v skladu s svojim znanjem in vrednotami delovali odgovorno in v korist družbe.

Secondary abstract: Environmental education has an important role in the educational institutions and it is becoming an important resource that enables environmental preservation. It is also the important factor at the raise of environmental awareness of individual and of the whole society. The role of environmental education is improving with the responsible attitude for the nature but that also means long term work because all those wide competences of environmental education can not be reached over the night. All that leads us to the important question: Does the awaked environmental awareness lead us to the appropriate handling of it? The purpose of the diploma work was to research if the Slovene pupils in the elementary school are environmental aware and if they complied with it. We also wanted to know how their parents deal with it, because we are aware that the education begins at home. Two environmental projects have been exposed in the Slovene area, Ekošola (ECOschool) and Zdrava šola (Health promoting school). A survey among 343 pupils of the eight grades was made from the schools that participate in both projects (ECOschool) and Zdrava šola (Health promoting school) and from some schools that are not a part of the project. We were searching the differences between pupils who participate in the project and others and if their awareness and treatments have influence on it. We have found just a few differences. In some cases pupils of the Zdrava šola (health promoting school) act more responsible than students of Ekošola (ECOschool). ECOschool pupils are bigger consumers than pupils from Zdrava šola (Health promoting school), because these do not buy products which are unneccessary. At Ekošola (ECOschool) teachers have bigger influence on the development of the pupil's positive awareness for environment than at the Zdrava šola (Health promoting school). That is why the family has bigger influence on the pupils at the Zdrava šola (Health promoting school) than at the Ekošola (ECOschool). The principle of school is to raise and educate pupils into responsible individuals, who would act responsible for the society's benefits according to their knowledge.
