Abstract

Metode: Izveden je bil sistematični pregled raziskav o mnenju nosečnic glede cepljenja proti covidu-19 v času nosečnosti, v podatkovnih bazah PubMed, CINAHL/Medline, ScienceDirect in Web of Science.

Secondary title: Attitude of pregnant women toward covid-19 vaccination during pregnancy
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The best option for normalizing life during the covid-19 pandemic was the development of a vaccine. However, a known issue of vaccine refusal emerged, particularly among pregnant women. Therefore, the purpose of the final paper was to review existing research on the topic, assess the attitude of pregnant women towards covid-19 vaccination during pregnancy and to identify the underlying factors influencing their opinions. Methods: A systematic review was conducted to examine the attitudes of pregnant women towards covid-19 vaccination during pregnancy. Literature was searched in international databases: PubMed, CINAHL/Medline, ScienceDirect in Web of Science. Results: We included eighteen studies that met all the set criteria. The research revealed higher vaccination rates among pregnant women after the expansion of the recommendations compared to the initial phase. The main reasons for vaccine refusal were the lack of information about the vaccine's effectiveness, concerns about potential side effects and worries regarding the health of both mother and the child. Additionally, higher vaccine acceptance was noticed among mothers with higher education levels and those who possessed more general knowledge about vaccines. Discussion and conclusion: According to the results of our research, informing pregnant women about vaccination against covid-19, is the key to increase the vaccination rates, so it is necessary to research the topic further in the future and bring the results closer to the general public.
