Abstract

Zaviralci gorenja so zelo pomembne spojine za zagotavljanje pasivne požarne zaščite. Najdemo jih dodane pohištvu (vzmetnice, preproge, zavese), elektroniki in elektronskim napravam (računalniki, telefoni, televizije), gradbenim materialom (kabli, izolacija) ter proizvodom za prevozništvo (sedeži, prevleke za sedeže). Nekateri od njih (predvsem halogenirani) pa so za okolje in človeka lahko nevarni. V svoji diplomski nalogi sem preučevala termično stabilnost izbranih protipožarnih materialov s pomočjo termične analize – termogravimetrijo (TGA) in diferenčno dinamično kalorimetrijo (DSC). Na koncu sem izvedla še TGA/DSC-MS določenih vzorcev, da bi ugotovila vrsto sproščenih plinov.

Secondary title: Influence of flame retardants on the thermal stability of selected materials
Secondary abstract: Flame retardants are very important compounds for passive fire protection. They are found added to furniture (mattresses, carpets, curtains), electronics and electronic devices (computers, telephones, televisions), building materials (cables, insulation) and transport products (seats, seat covers). However, some of them (especially halogenated ones) can be hazardous to the environment and to humans. In my thesis I studied the thermal stability of selected fire protection materials by means of thermal analysis - thermogravimetry (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Finally, I also performed TGA/DSC-MS on selected samples to determine the type of gases released.
