Abstract

Secondary abstract: In the paper the Slovene language in Hungary is presented in the light of ecological typologies which, based on extralinguistic variables, show the interdisciplinary approach in research into the language situation. Specific ecological typologies allow the characterisation of the Slovene language situation outside the Republic of Slovenia. The Slovene language in this case is considered as a minority language.
