Abstract

V diplomskem delu z naslovom Ekološka osveščenost učencev razredne stopnje v Savinjsko-šaleški regiji je teoretični del razdeljen na štiri sklope. V ekološkem sklopu je opredeljen pojem ekologija in globalno stanje okolja (onesnaževanje zraka, podnebne spremembe, onesnaževanje voda ...). Drugi sklop je pedagoško-didaktični sklop, kjer je opisana okoljska vzgoja in pregled učnih ciljev, ki so vezani na ekologijo. V psihološkem sklopu je predstavljen spoznavni razvoj otrok in razvojne stopnje po Piagetu. V geografskem sklopu smo opisali osnovne šole, ki so sodelovale v raziskavi, in mesta oziroma naselja, v katerih se šole nahajajo. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela smo ugotavljali, kakšna je ekološka osveščenost med učenci tretjega, četrtega in petega razreda v Savinjski in Šaleški regiji. Podatke smo pridobili s pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika. Rezultati so pokazali, da je večina učencev dobro ekološko osveščena. Učenci odgovorno ravnajo z odpadki, naravnimi viri in energijo. Šole dajejo velik poudarek ekološkemu osveščanju učencev, saj jih s pogovorom in različnimi ekološko naravnanimi dejavnostmi navajajo na ugašanje luči, varčevanje z vodo, ločevanje odpadkov in drugo. Velik prispevek k skrbi za okolje daje tudi projekt "Ekošola kot način življenja", v katerega so šole vključene ali se pripravljajo na vključitev.

Secondary abstract: The theoretical section of my graduation thesis titled Ecology awareness of young pupils in the Savinjsko-Šaleška region is divided into four parts. In the ecological subchapter I define the terms ecology and global state of the environment (air pollution, climate changes, water pollution, etc.). Secondly, the pedagogical-didactic part deals with ecological education followed by teaching aims that tackle ecology. In the psychological part I describe cognitive development and Piaget's developmental theory. In the geographical part I list primary schools which took part in the research and cities/towns where the schools are situated. In the empirical part of my graduation thesis I investigate the ecological awareness among the students of the third, fourth and fifth grades in the Savinja and Šaleška regions. The data was gathered with the help of a questionnaire. The results show that the majority of students seem to be well aware of the ecology situation. Students behave carefully when it comes to waste, natural resources and energy. Schools focus on ecology awareness of their students primarily by organizing discussions and different ecology-oriented activities which aim at turning off lights, water saving, recycling, etc. A huge contribution to the environmental issue is also the project "Ecology as a way of life" in which many schools are already included or intend to do so.
