Abstract

V diplomskem delu so predstavljene ulice Ptuja, katerih izvor imena je povezan z osebnostmi ali znamenitostmi, ki so zaznamovale mesto ali bližnjo okolico. Podane so splošne značilnosti Mestne občine Ptuj ter njen geografski oris. Predstavljeni so posamezniki, po katerih se ulice imenujejo. Opisane so večje kulturne znamenitosti na osrednjih ptujskih ulicah in trgih. Pri uporabi in interpretaciji virov je bila uporabljena deskriptivna metoda, predstavitev zgodovinskih dejstev, oseb in znamenitosti pa je bila izvedena z zgodovinsko metodo ter metodo analize in sinteze.

Secondary abstract: My thesis describes the streets of Ptuj; the origin of their names comes from famous persons or attractions which marked the town or its surrounding. General description and geographical features of the Ptuj Municipality are given. The thesis introduces individuals who gave their names for the streets of Ptuj. The thesis includes description of major cultural attractions which can be found in important streets and squares of Ptuj. When using the sources and making interpretation, descriptive method was used; introduction of historic facts, people and attraction used a history method and the method of analysis and synthesis.
