Abstract

V diplomskem delu je uvodoma predstavljeno življenje Lucijana Marije Škerjanca ter njegovo delovanje na različnih področjih. Lucijan Marija Škerjanc ni bil zgolj skladatelj, temveč tudi pianist, pedagog, dirigent, glasbeni pisec in kritik. Predstavljen je tudi Škerjančev opus, poseben poudarek pa sem namenila raziskavi Škerjančevih mladinskih klavirskih kompozicij ter analizi Desetih mladinskih skladbic za klavir. Metodološko je diplomsko delo zasnovano na dveh med seboj dopolnjujočih se načelih: na zgodovinski analizi sekundarnih virov ter analizi Desetih mladinskih skladbic.

Secondary abstract: The diploma thesis begins with the biography of Lucijan Marija Škerjanc and his versatile work. Not only was he an accomplished composer, but he was also a pianist, a pedagogue, a conductor, a writer and a critic. The readers of my thesis are introduced with complete works of Škerjanc, but the main emphasis is placed on the analysis of his youth compositions for piano. His work Ten youth compositions for piano was thoroughly analyzed. The bachelor's thesis is based on two complementing principles: the historic analysis of secondary sources and the analysis of Ten youth compositions for piano.
