diplomsko delo
Abstract
Rezultati:
Z vidika ženske sta ob porodu najpomembnejši podpora partnerja in primerna ter spoštljiva komunikacija, saj ji takrat ni pomembno okolje, v katerem rojeva.

First aid for childbirth at home |
Secondary abstract: |
Introduction: Childbirth is a very special event for every woman and one that will always be remembered. But it is even more special and unique when it happens somewhere other
than the maternity hospital. An unplanned birth in the field can take place without professional help, so it is important that the woman giving birth trusts herself and her body
above all, and that everyone present gives her first aid. Purpose: The aim of this diploma work was to present first aid and the course of unplanned birth in the field. The aims were to present basic resuscitation procedures in neonates and adults and to describe the role of health workers in unplanned birth in the field. Methods: In writing my diploma work I used a descriptive method of work with a review of professional and scientific literature in Slovene and English, between 2013 and 2021. I used the databases CINAHL, PubMed, ScienceDirect, COBISS and Google scholar. Results: We identified 1021 hits in literature review, 6 of them we included in final review. Despite the fact that such births occur only a few times a year in Slovenia, the literature shows that women are very satisfied with their
experience of giving birth outside hospital. Every woman in labour wants her delivery to be as normal as possible, without any complications, and if this happens, first aid measures should be taken, starting with a call to the emergency number 112. Such births can be very stressful for both the woman giving birth and her partner, so good communication is essential. Discussion and conclusion: Once the initial signs of labour and the assessment of the situation have determined that labour is imminent, we prepare for a field delivery. Arrangements should be made for the arrival of an ambulance team to transport her to
hospital. From the woman's point of view, the most important thing for her in labour is the support of her partner and appropriate and respectful communication, as the environment in which she is giving birth is not important to her at that time. |
