Abstract

V diplomskem delu obravnavam pomen nogometnih prireditev pri trženju športnega turizma, pri čemer se preučevanje nanaša na velika nogometna tekmovanja v Sloveniji. Prav tako me je zanimalo, ali tudi v Sloveniji velja rek, da je nogomet najpomembnejša postranska stvar na svetu. Nogomet bom izpostavil kot aktivnost in kot dejavnost, ki je v tesni interakciji s turizmom, z menedžmentom in s trženjem. Ljudje po vsem svetu spremljajo nogomet množično. Veliko ljudi živi za to največjo postransko stvar na svetu na način, da se povezujejo v navijaške skupine ter spremljajo svoje klube doma in v tujini. Ni jim dovolj, da gledajo tekme doma preko televizijskih zaslonov. Najbolj navdušeni trdijo, da želijo biti v neposredni bližini dogodka, da bi dihali isti zrak kot njihovo moštvo in da bi mu bili v pomoč in oporo kot "trinajsti igralec". Analiziral sem nekatera velika nogometna tekmovanja v Sloveniji, o tem naredil raziskavo in opisal globalne trende pri razvoju športnega turizma. Pri tem sem se osredotočil na športne prireditve in njihovo načrtovanje, organiziranje, vodenje in nadziranje ter še posebej na njihovo trženje. V raziskavi sem analiziral menedžiranje nogometne tekme med slovensko reprezentanco in reprezentanco Rusije v Mariboru 18. 11. 2009 na stadionu Ljudski vrt v Mariboru. Hkrati sem analiziral tudi pomembnost in vpliv nogometnih prireditev na turizem v Sloveniji.

Secondary title: THE MEANING OF SOCCER EVENTS AT MARKETING OF SPORT'S TOURISM IN SLOVENIA
Secondary abstract: In the diploma paper I discuss the importance of soccer events in sport tourism marketing, by which my study relates to big soccer events in Slovenia. I was curious to find out whether the saying "Soccer is the most important marginal thing in the world" can also be taken as such in Slovenia. I will expose soccer as an activity which is in close interaction with tourism, management and trading. People all over the world watch soccer. Many of them dedicate their lives to it by aligning in fan groups and accompanying their soccer clubs at home and abroad. To watch soccer matches on TV screens doesn't give them the necessary satisfaction. The most enthusiastic of them claim that they want to be near the event, to breathe the same air as their worshipped team, help the team and provide support as the 13th player. I have analyzed big soccer events in Slovenia, done a research about it and described global trends in sport tourism development. By doing that I have focused on planning, organizing, directing, monitoring, and above all trading of sport events. I have analyzed the management of the soccer match between the Slovenian and Russian team on November 18, 2009 in Ljudski vrt stadium in Maribor. At the same time I have analyzed the importance and influence of soccer events on Slovenian tourism.
