diplomsko delo
Abstract

Viticultural terminology of Svečina |
Secondary abstract: |
Viticulture in Svečinske gorice has been the leading branch of economy since the antiquity therefore the villagers have always been connected to the noble drop. This coexistence gives a special charm to the simple village of Svečina. The dialectal viticultural terminology is still often used in Svečina's viticulture. The research was based on viticultural technical literature, viticultural questionnaire and the informer's free speech. Based on the recorded dialect text and theoretical literature the dialect of Svečina is placed in a dialect group. Its phonological characteristics are also presented as well as the etymology and the development of individual voices. A brief the history of viticulture is presented in this diploma paper, especially vineyard labour in Svečinske gorice, although the emphasis was given on writing an alphabetic dictionary of viticultural terminology, which includes 229 items. The entire thematic area regarding viticulture is included in this dictionary: from vineyard land preparation, vineyard labours, cellaring to vine production. The dictionary includes modern terminology as well as older dialectal expressions for tools and vineyard cultivation, which some of the villagers still know today. |
