Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo opredelili razbremenilno logistiko, predstavili njene cilje in pojasnili predmet razbremenilne logistike. Temu sledi predstavitev vrst odpadkov in njihov opis. V empiričnem delu smo analizirali ključne kazalnike nastanka odpadkov in ravnanje z le-temi v Evropski uniji (v nadaljevanju: EU) in Sloveniji. Temu sledi diskusija, v kateri so podane ugotovitve, do katerih smo prišli z analizo kazalnikov.

Secondary title: Waste logistics and its utilisation
Secondary abstract: The presented work is subdivided into two parts: a theoretical and an applicative part. In the theoretical part, we define reverse logistics, present its objectives and explain the subject of reverse logistics. Subsequently, the types of waste were introduced and described. The theoretical part includes an introduction to the circular economy, its importance and benefits. In the waste hierarchy section, we explained the waste management priorities according to the inverted pyramid principle, which shows the waste management priorities from top to bottom. In the applicative part, we have analyzed key circular economy indicators of waste generation and recycling rates of waste for the European Union and Slovenia. This is followed by a discussion of the conclusions reached by the analysis of the indicators. We found out that the amount of waste produced in Slovenia has not decreased since the adoption of the EU Circular Economy Action Plan in 2015. We also found out that over the same period, the recycling rate did not increase, as we saw a decrease in e-waste and construction waste. Finally, we set out the proposals and actions the European Union is taking to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. We have also put forward our own suggestions for additional solutions that we, as consumers, can contribute to a more sustainable system.
