Abstract

V magistrskem delu smo raziskali in primerjali strukturo, delovanje, usposobljenost in učinkovitost pomožnih policij v različnih državah. Ta raziskava nam pokaže različne vloge nacionalnih pomožnih policijskih sil, vključno z nujno pomočjo, s preventivnimi misijami, sodelovanjem skupnosti, policijsko podporo ter z izobraževanjem in usposabljanjem.

Secondary title: Comparison of auxiliary police arrangements in different countries
Secondary abstract: In the master's thesis, we investigated and compared the structure, operation, training, and efficiency of the auxiliary police in different countries. The emphasis is on understanding how the mutual practices of auxiliary police differ, especially in the cases of the USA, Great Britain, and Slovenia. This research shows the various roles of national auxiliary police forces, including emergency assistance, preventive missions, community engagement, police support and education and training. It also highlights the different levels of training, powers, and limitations that apply to auxiliary police officers in the covered states. This research paper recognizes the heavy reliance on auxiliary police to provide safety and assistance to the community, despite differences in the structure and powers of auxiliary police forces. With these findings, this study highlights the importance of auxiliary police as a valuable complement to regular police and highlights best practices and training to improve the effectiveness and support of auxiliary police in the performance of their duties.
