Abstract

Namen diplomske naloge je predstaviti izbrane matematične pojme na način, da bi vzpodbudili zanimanje tudi pri ljudeh, ki imajo malo več kot le osnovno znanje matematike. In sicer tako, da bi jim predstavili in približali tudi bolj zahtevne matematične pojme preko motivacijskega uvoda in reševanja nalog. Tega smo se lotili tako, da smo izbrane pojme predstavili na življenjskih primerih in situacijah ter čim bolj ilustrativno. S takšnim pristopom želimo predstaviti matematiko kot nekaj dosegljivega, dostopnega. Kar je zelo pomembno, saj stereotipno velja za nekaj zahtevnega. V diplomi so ponazorjeni primeri določenih matematičnih pojmov, ki jim sledi ne tako formalna, vendar matematično korektna razlaga. Cilj za bližnjo prihodnost že obstoječe spletne aplikacije eQuiz je širitev baze uporabnikov. Prispevek diplomske naloge k temu cilju je idejna vizualizacija izbranih matematičnih konceptov. Lahko pa služi tudi kot osnova za sestavo nalog za potrebe aplikacije.

Secondary abstract:	The aim of the thesis is to present selected mathematical concepts in a way that will stimulate the interest of people who have little more than a basic knowledge of mathematics. By introducing more complex mathematical concepts through a motivational start and case solving. We have done this by presenting the selected concepts based on real-life examples and situations, and as illustrative as possible. This approach aims to present mathematics as something accessible, something attainable. Which is very important, because it is stereotyped as something difficult. The thesis illustrates examples of certain mathematical concepts, followed by a not so formal but mathematically correct explanation. The goal for the near future of the existing eQuiz web application is to expand the user base. Contribution of the thesis for this goal is a conceptual visualisation of selected mathematical concepts. It can also serve as a basis for preparing tasks of the application's purposes.
