Abstract
Kompleksi zlata se pospešeno preučujejo v medicini za zdravljenje različnih bolezni, med drugim tudi kot možne protirakave učinkovine. V zadnjih nekaj letih so raziskave o kompleksih zlata doživele razmah. Veliko je predvsem predkliničnih raziskav, v klinični rabi pa je trenutno samo en kompleks.
Moj cilj je bil sintetizirati komplekse zlata(I) in zlata(III) z monometiliranimi piritioni (1-hidroksipiridin-2(1H)-tion). Najprej sem iz 2-bromometilpiridinov z oksidacijo in tiolacijo pripravil piritione z metilno skupino, ki sem jih nato uporabil za vezavo na zlatove(I) in zlatove(III) ione. Spojine sem okarakteriziral z jedrsko magnetno resonančno spektroskopijo (NMR), UV-Vis in IR spektroskopijo, visoko ločljivostno masno spektrometrijo (HRMS) ter CHN elementno analizo. Uspelo mi je pridobiti tudi kristale nekaterih spojin in z rentgensko difrakcijo na monokristalih določiti kristalne strukture treh kompleksov zlata(I).

Synthesis of gold complexes with pyrithione derivatives |

Gold complexes are rapidly being investigated in medicine for the treatment of various diseases, including as potential anticancer agents. In the last few years, studies on gold complexes have experienced a surge. There is a large amount of pre-clinical research, but only one complex is currently in clinical use.
My aim was to synthesize gold(I) and gold(III) complexes with monomethylated pyrithiones (1-hydroxypyridine-2(1H)-thione). First, I prepared pyrithiones with a methyl group from 2-bromomethylpyridines by oxidation and thiolation reactions, which were then used to bind to gold(I) and gold(III) ions. The compounds were characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), UV-Vis and IR spectroscopy, high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS), and CHN elemental analysis. I was also able to obtain crystals of some compounds and to determine the crystal structures of three gold(I) complexes by X-ray diffraction on single crystals. |
