Abstract

Izolirala sem kristale novega kobaltovega(II) kompleksa s pirazinojsko kislino [CoCl2(pyzaH)2]n.2nH2O in kristale znane spojine z anionom pyza, [Co(H2O)2pyza2]. Molekule pirazinojske kisline so se vezale na kobaltove(II) ione, če je bila v reakcijski zmesi prisotna klorovodikova kislina, anioni pyza pa v prisotnosti vode. Sestavo in strukturo produktov sem določila z infrardečo spektroskopijo, CHN analizo, rentgensko strukturno analizo in termično analizo.

Secondary title: Cobalt compounds with pyrazinoic acid
Secondary abstract: Reactions were carried out between pyrazinoic acid (pyzaH) and cobalt(II) chloride hexahydrate or cobalt(II) sulfate heptahydrate in ethanol or acetonitrile at temperatures ranging from 40 °C to 70 °C. The syntheses were conducted in beakers or under an inert atmosphere in Schlenk flasks. Crystals of a new cobalt(II) complex with pyrazinoic acid, [CoCl2(pyzaH)2]n.2nH2O, were isolated, as well as crystals of a known compound containing the pyza anions, [Co(H2O)2pyza2]. The cobalt(II) ions were bound to pyrazinoic acid molecules in the presence of hydrochloric acid in the reaction mixture, while the pyza anions were formed in the presence of water. The composition and structure of the products were determined utilizing infrared spectroscopy, elemental CHN analysis, X-ray structural analysis, and thermal analysis.
