Abstract
Cilj diplomske naloge je predstaviti razvoj in uporabo gonilnika protokola MTConnect Agent za programsko platformo Zenon. Programska platforma vsebuje več kot 300 različnih gonilnikov, ob tem pa uporabniku omogoča še razvoj dodatnih gonilnikov s programskim orodjem Driver Kit. Ker platforma Zenon ni vsebovala možnosti povezave naprav preko MTConnect protokola, smo ga v ta namen razvili sami in ga predstavili v diplomski nalogi.
V prvem koraku smo se morali podrobno spoznati s samim delovanjem sistema Zenon, orodjem Driver Kit in MTConnect protokolom, ki je komunikacijski standard za zajem in opisovanje podatkov. MTConnect Agent pridobi podatke z uporabo transportnega protokola HTTP in jih organizira ter predstavi z XML dokumentom. Izmenjava podatkov med sistemom Zenon in gonilnikom MTConnect poteka tako, da sistem prevzame vlogo odjemalca, gonilnik pa vlogo strežnika. Pridobljene podatke v sistemu Zenon predstavimo z uporabno drevesne strukture in uporabnikom omogočimo preprost ter hiter način ustvarjanja novih podatkovnih točk oziroma spremenljivk.
Uspešna izvedba gonilnika se izkaže za ustrezno in robustno rešitev povezovanja MTConnect naprav v sistem Zenon.

Implementation of the MTConnect Agent driver for the Zenon software platform |
Secondary abstract: |
The goal of the thesis is to present the development and use of the driver protocol MTConnect Agent for the Zenon software platform. The software platform contains more than 300 different drivers and provides the software tool Driver Kit, can be used to develop additional drivers. As the platform Zenon does not contain any options to connect the devices using the MTConnect protocol, we developed our own driver.
In the first step, we had to learn about the Zenon system, the Driver Kit tool and the MTConnect protocol, which is a communication standard for receiving and describing data. MTConnect agent retrieves data using the HTTP transport protocol and present them within an XML document. During the data exchange between the Zenon system and the MTConnect driver, the system takes the role of a client and the driver takes the role of a server. The obtained data is presented using a tree structure in Zenon system. We provide the users with a simple and quick way to create new data points and variables.
The successful implementation of the driver proves to be a suitable and robust solution for connecting MTConnect devices to the Zenon system. |
