Baročna oprema Žičke kartuzije

Abstract

V zaključni seminarski nalogi bom obravnavala baročno opremo Žičke kartuzije, ki je zaradi pomanjkanja podatkov o ohranjenosti še vedno slabo raziskana. Naloga se dotika nekaterih del iz kartuzije, ki se do danes niso ohranila, in nekaterih, ki so razkropljena po različnih koncih Slovenije. Poudarek zaključne naloge bo predvsem na kipih, ki so nekoč stali na glavnem vhodu v kartuzijo in ki se jih pripisuje mariborskemu kiparju Francu Krištofu Reissu. Kljub nedavnim razpravam iz leta 2011 in 2015 je njihovo avtorstvo še vedno problematično, saj imamo le malo podatkov o Reissovem delu in samih okoliščinah nastanka portalnih skulptur.

Secondary abstract:	In the final seminar assigment I will discuss the baroque art decorations of the Žiče charterhouse, which is, due to the lack of data on its perservation, still poorly researched. The paper touches on some works from the carthusian monastery, that have not been preserved to this day and some of the works, which are scattered in different parts of Slovenia. The focus of the final assignment will however be on the statues that use to stand on the main entrance of the monastery and are attributed to the Maribor sculptor Franc Krištof Reiss. Despite recent discussions from 2011 and 2015, their authorship is still problematic, as we have very little information about Reiss's work and the circumstances on the creation of the portal sculptures.
