Abstract

V diplomskem delu z naslovom Mnenja učiteljev o učbenikih pri pouku družba v 4. razredu v osnovni šoli smo v teoretičnem delu na podlagi obstoječe literature najprej predstavili predmet družba. Nato smo se osredotočili na učbenik. Poiskali smo definicije o tem, kaj je učbenik, kakšna je njegova vloga ter kakšne so značilnosti dobrega učbenika. Natančneje nas je zanimalo, kakšni so kriteriji kakovosti ter struktura učbenika oziroma determinante, po katerih lahko vrednotimo učbenike. V empiričnem delu smo s pomočjo anketnih vprašalnikov raziskali, kaj menijo o učbenikih za predmet družba, učitelji, ki poučujejo v 4. razredu. Zanimalo nas je, katere učbenike uporabljajo, kako se zanje odločajo, kako jih ocenjujejo na splošno in kako z vidika strokovne, slogovne, metodično-didaktične, motivacijske ustreznosti in ali učbeniki spodbujajo k aktivnemu učenju. Želeli smo ugotoviti, ali obstajajo razlike glede na regijo, kjer učitelji poučujejo, in založbo. Rezultati so pokazali, da imajo učbeniki za družbo v 4. razredu svoje prednosti in slabosti, zato nobenega ne bi mogli oceniti kot izrazito dobrega oziroma slabega. Na podlagi raziskave lahko trdimo, da obstoječi učbeniki po mnenju učiteljev večinoma zadovoljujejo kriterije kakovosti. Učitelji pa so kljub manjšim pomanjkljivostim zadovolji z učbeniki, saj bi se ob možni ponovni odločitvi večina odločila za učbenik iste založbe.

Secondary abstract: The theoretical part of my diploma paper titled Teachers' opinions about textbooks for the subject Social Science in the 4th grade of the primary school firstly represents the presentation of this school subject with the help of the current professional writing/literature. The next part is about the textbooks - we were interested in the definitions of what a textbook is, the importance of its role in educational process and we presented the characteristics of good textbooks. We were specifically interested in a structure of textbooks and quality criteria, upon which a textbook can be assessed. The empirical part of the thesis is based on a questionnaire. We were interested in the opinion of primary school teachers who teach a school subject Social Science in the 4th grade. We wanted to know what textbooks they use, how they decide to choose them, their assessment in general and as well the style, methodology, didactics, motivation, do these textbooks stimulate children to an active way of learning. We wanted to establish possible differences according to a region and a publisher. The results of our survey show that textbooks for Social Science in the 4th grade of primary school have got their advantages and disadvantages so none of them could be assessed as distinctively good or bad. Accordingly we can say that current textbooks in teachers' opinions mostly fulfil quality criteria. Teachers are despite minor insufficiencies satisfied with the textbooks and the majority of them would choose the same course book of the same publisher again.
