Abstract

Z revitalizacijo vaškega jedra bo Majšperk postal generator dogajanja, druženja in življenja v kraju.

Secondary title: Revitalization of the town centre Majšperk with the design of community center and museum of crafts
Secondary abstract: The village centre was once the most important part of the settlement, both in function and appearance. Its meaning has changed and transformed over time to such an extent, that the centre has lost its role and identity. This has been significantly influenced by the relocation of central functions, activities and people to the periphery of settlements, which is the cause that town centres are empty and derelict, and buildings are neglected and falling into disrepair. Throughout its history, Majšperk has retained its village character, but has always shown a strong tendency towards urban development. With the development of industry, modernisation and the construction of new public buildings, among which the new cultural and business center stands out, the village centre has started to lose its identity. The revitalisation process means renovating the currently neglected village centre, reviving the decaying structure and bringing activities and people back to the centre. This will give the space a new life and content, not only for the town itself, but also for its surroundings. The thesis includes the renovation of the existing buildings and open space, the establishment of a museum programme and the design of a community center, which will serve as a "living room", a leisure space for the inhabitants of the village. The revitalisation of the village centre will make Majšperk a generator
