Abstract

Magistrsko delo obravnava obrt in trgovino v srednjeveškem Mariboru. Trgovali so predvsem z vinom, lesom, kožami, usnjem in z drugo robo. Najbolj množično zastopane obrti v srednjeveškem Mariboru so bile usnjarstvo, čevljarstvo, krojaštvo, sedlarstvo, zidarstvo.

Secondary title: Craft and trade in medival maribor
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis deals with craft and trade in medieval Maribor. It was first mentioned as a castle in 1164 and in 1189 as the seat of the parish. The most important is the 13th century, as the place is already mentioned as a square before 1209, and as a town in 1254. During the time of Duke Albrecht III. it receives the most important privileges in the second half of the 14th century. Already in the Middle Ages, Maribor was considered an important trade and craft center. The first mention of any merchant from Maribor in historical sources dates back to 1313. Selling and transporting wine were also important activities. They mainly traded in wine, wood, hides, leather and other goods. Along with trade, crafts also developed simultaneously. The most widely represented trades in medieval Maribor were leather, shoemaking, tailoring, saddlery, and masonry.
