diplomsko delo

Abstract

Secondary title: Raised gardening bed with soil moisture regulation system
Secondary abstract: The thesis presents the process of making a raised gardening bed with a built-in regulation system for moisture regulation. From the capturing of the current state of the sensors and the parameters that are determined via the mobile application, all the way to the actuators with which we manipulate the flow of water for watering. We must also not forget the logical part, which works according to an algorithm for converting data into a useful form and using it when regulation of soil moisture is needed so that it is most of the time in the proximity of the desired moisture value. Wi-Fi communication between the web server of the raised gardening bed and the application is working in parallel with the algorithm. The final part of the thesis also describes all the tests and process of acquiring the sensors characteristics that I did during the process of making the raised gardening bed itself. The procedures for obtaining static characteristics, sampling time and implementation of control and regulation are also described. The presented soil moisture regulation system is non-linear in open-loop form, as the static characteristic experiment showed. At the end of the thesis, I managed to design a regulation system with a sampling time of 30 s, a correction factor of value 1.05 and a steady-state error of ±2% humidity and an average value decay of 3% - 6%.
