Abstract

Secondary title: Younger audience's trust in content generated by artificial intelligence
Secondary abstract: In this study, we explored whether there exist influences between young people's algorithmic literacy and trust in content obtained through ChatGPT, as well as between the trust and the tendency to fact-check content acquired from ChatGPT using various digital information sources. The results of the empirical research showed that there is no statistically significant influence of algorithmic literacy on trust, nor is there a statistically significant influence of trust on the tendency to check content. We also found that young people achieve high levels of algorithmic literacy. The obtained findings can serve as motivation for further research of the influence of different literacy skills on trust in content obtained with various artificial intelligence tools.
