Abstract

V tej diplomski nalogi sem se ukvarjala s problemom medvrstniškega nasilja preko interneta in mobilne telefonije. Zanimanje za to temo je predvsem spodbudila lastna uporaba interneta ter pojavljanje te vrste problematike v tujini, kjer so bile izvedene že kar obsežne raziskave. Rezultate teh raziskav sem uporabila tudi pri svojem delu ter se navezovala na njih skozi svojo diplomsko nalogo.Potegnila sem vzporednice med tradicionalnim in internetnim nasiljem ter ugotavljala, kako in kje poteka nasilje preko interneta. Z razmahom strani za socialno mreženje se je družabno življenje otrok in mladostnikov preselilo na internet in s tem so se pojavile nove priložnosti za nasilneže. Prav tako so me zanimali preventivni ukrepi in predlogi, ki jih podaja stroka za varno uporabo interneta. Namen empiričnega dela je bil ugotoviti razširjenost te vrste nasilje med osnovno in srednješolci na širšem mariborskem območju. Zanimalo me je v koliki meri so se otroci in mladostniki že srečali s to vrsto nasilja in kakšen odnos imajo do njega. Podatke sem pridobila z anketnim vprašalnikom. Rezultati so pokazali, da se ta vrsta nasilja pojavlja v meri, ki jo ugotavljajo že raziskave iz tujine. Veliko te vrste nasilja se pojavlja preko strani za socialno mreženje, ki jih učenci in dijaki tudi največ uporabljajo. Veliko je groženje, širjenja govoric ipd. Otroci in mladostniki imajo do tega nasilja v veliki meri odklonilen odnos in menijo, da to predstavlja resen problem. Šole bi se morale zavestno usmerjati v preventivno delovanje na področju nasilja preko interneta in internetne varnosti. Res je, da je to nasilje zelo težko obvladovati in nadzorovati, vendar je učence dokaj enostavno opremiti s potrebnimi znanji s katerimi zaščitijo sami sebe.

Secondary abstract: Interest to write diploma paper about cyberbullying stems from my own internet experiences. Couple of years ago I noticed an influx of articles about research being done that covered cyberbullying in several different countries. Results from these researches have been used in this paper. I started this paper by drawing parallels between traditional bullying and cyberbullying. My aim was also to determine where and how cyberbullying takes place. Widespread use of social networking sites meant that social lives of children and teenagers were suddenly placed online and with that new opportunities arose for bullies. In this paper I tried to determine preventative measures and suggestions that are offered to parents and teachers through different sources. With the use of questionnaire I aimed to discover how much cyberbullying is present among children and teenagers in wider Maribor area. I wanted to discover how much they know about this form of bullying and what is their attitude towards it. Results are very similar to those that were gathered from researches that were conducted elsewhere. A lot of cyberbullying is conducted through social networking sites which are widely used by primary and secondary school students. There is a lot of threats, spreading of malicious gossip etc. Results showed that children and teenagers thing of it as a very serious problem. Schools should work on preventative measures that will equip students with knowledge how to use internet safely.
