Abstract

Secondary abstract: The master's thesis presents the process of designing a high-performance CNC machine tool that processes wood with high feed (60 m / min) and rotational speeds (60,000 rpm) and achieves the required quality of the treated surface. If we increase the feed rate, the capacity of the machine increases, but with unchanged tool speeds, the quality of processing decreases. Therefore, our goal was to show the process of selecting important machine components that would have a significantly higher capacity than currently available woodworking machines. The required dimensions of the supporting structure and the dimensions and power of the drive elements and drive units were calculated. We also calculated the deformations of the components according to the technological parameters and thus ensured that the machine would achieve the target machining accuracy. We selected a suitable machining unit and an accompanying frequency converter. The master's thesis can serve as an aid in the design and construction of a high-performance CNC machine, because with the given calculations we can design any fast and accurate machine.
