Abstract

Primerljiva romana Severni sij in Pastorala se navezujeta na slovensko nacionalno romaneskno izkušnjo 20. stol. Jančarjev in Žabotov roman prebiram skozi prilagojen analitični objektiv in tako odkrivam predvsem poustvarjanje nekega klavstrofobičnega prostora, izpolnjenega s pričakovanjem in strahom. Ob nedokončnosti analitičnega branja teh del opozarjam tudi na pomembnost kreativnih sposobnosti recipienta.

Secondary abstract: The comparable Romanesque works of Northern Lights and Pastoral are closely related to the 20th century Slovene national novelistic experience. These novels by Jančar and Žabot are read through an analytically adjusted lens, through which we primarily detect the recreation of a terror-laden claustrophobic space full of expectation. The creative abilities of the recipient are of great importance with regard to the analytical issues that arise when reading these works.
