Secondary abstract: | The thesis upgrades an existing 3D reconstruction software service into a web-based software interface with a scalable backend. A possible use case is added to the web interface by implementing a user interface. The user interface allows to capture images and view the resulting models. The implemented solution is evaluated in several ways, including assessment of model quality, scalability of the web interface and user experience. The main objective of the work is to improve the accessibility of 3D reconstruction technology with a focus on improving the user experience, in particular by enabling image capture via mobile devices. |
