Abstract

Secondary title: Evaluating digital maturity with an example
Secondary abstract: Achieving better digital maturity is the most important task for the success of manufacturing companies in today's digital business environment. With recommendations tailored to the company, such as effective data management, digitization of processes, the establishment of agile structures, security assurance, and continuous employee education, digital maturity measurement tools can help companies achieve a higher level of digital maturity. Companies that actively engage in digital transformation are more resilient for the future and can take advantage of the many benefits of digitalization more easily. Therefore, companies need to be aware of the importance of digital maturity measurement, adopt the recommendations, and focus on increasing their digital maturity level. In recent years, the need to assess digital maturity has led to the development of new models that measure the digital maturity of companies and, at the same time, provide recommendations for further development. Based on the assessment, the company can identify its strengths and weaknesses and plan appropriate development. In our master's thesis, we also tested one of the more accessible. We found that by choosing a suitable model, companies can assess their digital maturity better, which can contribute to a better digitalization strategy, business optimization, and the development of new products and services.
