Abstract

Otroke razen staršev in drugih ozavešča tudi osnovna šola v učnem procesu. Osnovna šola ima izdelan prometno-varnostni načrt. Kakšen je le-ta, kakšne so njegove pomanjkljivosti in kako le-te izboljšati? Kje so nevarna mesta in zakaj prav tam?

Secondary title: DEVELOPMENT OF SAFE ROUTES OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL IVAN CANKAR LJUTOMER
Secondary abstract: Nowadays it is almost impossible to avoid being one of the many traffic participants not only as a driver or a passenger but even as a pedestrian or cyclist. Unfortunately, a consequence of the ever growing traffic population is also a bigger amount of accidents and too many times the victims are children. They are only at the beginning of their development, are a weak link who is careless and lively, and cannot fully grasp the activities on the road and around. Even a small distraction can lead to a wrong step, to an accident. However, there are also other factors in traffic which are responsible for causing accidents. What are the reasons for traffic accidents and where are the critical points? We all wish to reduce the number of accidents and consequently the number of victims and to bring this to effort we have to act precautionary. When an accident happens it is usually too late. Therefore, we have traffic education which is alongside the parents and others taught by school through the learning process. Primary schools have a safety traffic plan. What does it consist of, what are its disadvantages and how can these be improved? Where are the critical points and why are they precisely where they are? Ljutomer also has problems with accidents in which children are involved. The safety traffic plan has been developed but accidents with children as participants still happen. How do the pupils of the local primary school feel as traffic participants and what are the critical points on their way to the primary school Osnovna šola Ivana Cankarja Ljutomer? How can we improve the temporary situation to act preventively and therefore reduce the traffic accidents with underaged participants although they participate in traffic on a daily basis?
