Abstract

Secondary title: Heating and cooling of the Community Health center Domžale with use of shallow geothermal energy
Secondary abstract: The thesis includes various possibilities of using shallow geothermal energy for heating and cooling of a building and the preparation of SHW in the case of a health centre. We determined the energy consumption for the existing building and for the planned expansion. We presented technical solutions for the use of underground water, heat exchangers in thermoactive geostuctures and vertical boreholes. We found that the energy needs could be covered with heat pumps, while the existing boiler would be used for reserve and coverage during lower temperatures. This would have a significant impact on increasing the use of RES and energy self-sufficiency.
