Abstract

Magistrska naloga v teoretičnem delu proučuje feminizem, njegove ključne trenutke in spremembe skozi zgodovino.

Secondary title: Representation of Femininity - Guerrilla Girls and the Fight for Equality
Secondary abstract: The theoretical part of the Master's thesis examines feminism, its key moments and changes throughout history. In relation with feminism, the artistic group Guerrilla Girls, which actively works in this field, is presented. Individual examples of late and contemporary female artists are part of it to outline some of the characteristics of feminist art. The representation of femininity is analyzed in more detail from the perspective of the author's gender with the help of a design and content comparison of the poster by Guerrilla Girls: Do women have to be naked to get to the Met. Museum? and the painting La Grande Odalisque by the artist Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, to which the poster refers. The practical part consists of works of art created with different media (seemingly) connected to women, the purpose of which is to present one's own response to the current position of women in society.
