Secondary abstract: | The attitudes of Slovene political parties towards Slovene and other languages can be identified in their programmes from the parliamentary elections 2008 and are presented in this article. The more liberal parties follow EU guidelines and support multiculturalism and minority languages, while the more conservative parties mostly focus on Slovene as the basis of Slovene national identity and recommend measures for its protection. |
