magistrsko delo

Abstract

Ob kasnejšem informiranju sodelavcev in nadrejenih nimajo podpore.

Secondary title: Addresing violence against children in kindergartens
Secondary abstract: The issue of how kindergarten practitioners react when they observe violence against a child seems to me to be very important. Therefore, I decided to investigate how kindergarten practitioners react to violence against a child. So that is why the aim of the master's thesis was to investigate how practitioners react to violence against a child. I also wanted to find out if they were aware of the types of violence and the procedures laid down in legislation. In my master's thesis I conducted quantitative research where I created an anonymous survey and sent it via the Internet to a group of female and male educators in Slovenia. I received 100 responses. The results of the survey showed that the majority of teachers do not report violence they observe in children, despite the fact that more than half of them have observed violence in their children in recent years. They do not have the support of their colleagues and supervisors when informing them later. Respondents also expressed a desire for more training on how to identify violence against children, for the process to be clearer and more unambiguous, and for more support from the team when reporting.
