Abstract

Secondary title: Didactic games in the context of implementing experimental work within the thematic set phenomenons in the school subject science and technology in the 5th grade of primary school
Secondary abstract: This master's thesis shows that didactic games can also be used in the school subject Science and Technology, so we adapted the game Ludo into a didactic game in which students create a product at the end. This didactic game is presented in the practical part, where we also analyse the results obtained with this game. The theoretical part analyses the game, didactic games, modern teaching approaches, constructivist, experiential, innovative and collaborative learning, and internal and external motivation. The master's thesis includes a natural science and technical section and a geographical section where the Savinja region and their schools are described. The empirical research presents results which show that didactic games help to facilitate the acquisition of learning content from the thematic set Phenomena and that they help in creating the product in the aforementioned school subject. These data were obtained with the help of a survey conducted on a sample of thirty-one teachers of the fifth grade of primary schools in the Savinjska region. Through the research, it was also found that didactic games have an impact on the students' interest in the subject of Science and Technology and that they contribute to their sustainable knowledge. These results were supported by the performance of a didactic game, which was connected to the thematic set of Phenomena and focused on the theme "wind and making a kite".
