Abstract

V tovarni Brest Pohistvo, d.o.o. Cerknica pri površinski obdelavi z brizganjem, zaradi okoljevarstvene zakonodaje, uvajajo vodne lakirne sisteme. Uvedba le-teh zahteva tudi investicijo v toplozračni sušilnik. Vprašanje je, kako vpliva pospešeno sušenje vodnih premazov na njihove odpornostne lastnosti in kateri premazi so najprimernejši. Raziskavo smo izvedli na 48 furniranih hrastovih vzorcih. Tretjino preizkušancev smo polužili s svetlim vodnim lužilom, tretjino s temnim, tretjine pa nismo lužili. Polovico preizkušancev iz vsake skupine smo površinsko obdelali s sistemoma 2 različnih sijajev, prvo polovico z enokomponentnim in drugo z dvokomponentnim vodnim lakirnim sistemom. Različno obdelane vzorce smo sušili pri sobni temperaturi in pri povišanih temperaturah: 45 °C, 55 °C in 65 °C. Sistemi z nižjim sijajem so izkazali boljšo kvaliteto.

Secondary title: Impact of drying temperature to resistance properties of different water coatings
Secondary abstract: Because of environmental legislation demands, the furniture producer "Brest Pohištvo, d.o.o. Cerknica", is introducing water-borne coating formulations for spraying applications. Consequently, a new drying oven should be installed. The questions are, how the forced drying influences the resistance properties of water- borne coating systems, and which systems are the most suitable ones. Our research was performed on 48 veneer oak panels. One third of the samples was stained with a bright water-borne stain, the other third with a dark one, and the rest remained unstained. High gloss one-component water-borne surface finishing system was applied on half of the samples from each group, and a low gloss two-component water-borne coating on the other halves. The samples were dried at room temperature, and at 45 °C, 55°C and 65 °C. After 24 hours the surfaces according to R2 standards of the Ikea group were tested. The drying temperature as well as preceding staining did not influence resistance properties of water-borne coatings. However, the investigated properties were highly dependant on the type of the surface system. The low gloss coatings exhibited better resistance properties.
