Abstract

Zanimalo nas je, kako prebivalci Zasavske regije ocenjujejo rabo lesa in zdravih gradbenih materialov z vidika njihovega pozitivnega doprinosa k zdravemu bivalnemu okolju.

Secondary title: Questionnairing the wood usage impact on healthy living environment
Secondary abstract: The usage of wood and natural building materials is lower than preferred in terms of healthy living environment. The processing of wood does not demand a lot of energy. However, in construction materials that have negative effects on healthy living environment prevail. We were interested in how the inhabitants of the Zasavje region perceive the usage of wood and other natural and healthy materials in building, and how much do these materials influence healthy living environment. The poll showed us that people are aware of the importance of healthy environment, but they place clean air and water above living environment due to the pollution of the region. Healthy building materials: wood, stone, clay and straw come second. The knowledge about modern low-energy ways of building is also superficial which is reflected in low number of passive houses. This is due to habits and also the lack of knowledge about the advantages of low-energy building, where wood as the basic construction material plays a crucial role. People participating in the poll do not find the connection among healthy building materials and the absence of heavy pollution in a wider sense.
