Abstract

Podjetje Lipa d.d. je zavezanec Uredbe o emisijah hlapnih organskih spojin (HOS) iz naprav, ki uporabljajo organska topila. Zaradi zahtev te uredbe v podjetju uvajajo vodne premazne sisteme; uvedba le-teh pa zahteva celovito prenovo lakirniških naprav. Načrt za prenovo sušilnih linij je že pripravljen. Eden izmed najpomembnejših korakov pri prehodu na vodne premaze je ugotavljanje primernosti njihovih lastnosti. Pri različnih možnih alternativnih vodnih premaznih sistemih smo določili oprijemnost, sijaj, odpornost proti razenju ter odpornost proti udarcem in izbrane lastnosti primerjali z lastnostmi poliuretanskih premazov na osnovi organskih topil. Primerjava je pokazala, da testirani vodni premazni sistemi izkazujejo zadovoljive lastnosti. Obstoječe poliuretanske lake na osnovi organskih topil bi zato lahko, z ozirom na preškusene lastnosti, zamenjali s testiranimi okolju prijaznejšimi vodnimi laki z nizkim deležem HOS.

Secondary title: Introduction of water-borne coating systems into a wood processing enterprise and reconstruction of the finishing plant to decrease VOC emissions
Secondary abstract: Lipa Enterprise is a subject of the Decree on emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from installations using organic solvents. Due to the requirements of this decree, the enterprise is implementing water coating systems. The implementation of these systems requires a wholesome renovation of finishing installations. The plan for the renovation of the finishing line has already been drafted. One of the most important steps regarding water coatings is to determine suitability of their features. Hence, in case of various possible alternative water coating systems, we have defined adherence, glow, resistance to scratching as well as impact resistance, and compared the selected characteristics to properties of organic solvent based polyurethane coatings. The comparison has shown that the tested water coating systems display satisfying characteristics. Therefore, with regard to the examined features, the existing organic solvent based polyurethane varnishes could be replaced by the tested environment friendly water varnishes with a low VOC content.
