diplomsko delo
Abstract
Diplomsko delo predstavlja vpogled v izdelavo aplikacije s področja novomedijske umetnosti v obogateni resničnosti.

Interactive Installation in Augmented Reality |
Secondary abstract: |
The thesis provides an insight into the development of an augmented reality application in the field of new media art. The application, which enables users to interact with an enlarged model of a molecular structure, was developed using Unity and Mixed Reality Toolkit. It is designed to run on Microsoft HoloLens 2. In the first part of the thesis, we attempt to define the concepts related to extended reality, which have been widely discussed recently. However, due to imprecise definitions, there is often inconsistency in their usage and unclear boundaries between these terms. In the final part of the thesis, we delve into the creation of the application, demonstrating to the reader how to begin developing such an application. Furthermore, we describe three interaction methods provided by the Mixed Reality Toolkit, i.e. hand interaction, eye interaction, and voice commands. For each method, we explain how to incorporate it into the project. We also touch upon the MRTK UX elements we utilized. In the concluding section, we list and explain molecular visualization optimization strategies that we employed to enhance the application's performance. |
