Abstract

Secondary title: Creating a digital twin of a production facility in the company Plastika Skaza d.o.o.
Secondary abstract: The master's thesis comprises a description of the development of a digital twin for the production plant at the company Plastika Skaza d.o.o. This digital twin was used to analyze the utilization of machine operators across various workstations. The analysis of operator occupancy results was acquired through simulating the production process in the Visual Components software, in which the digital twin was constructed. To create the digital twin, a comprehensive study of the production process was necessary to minimize differences between the physical production plant and its digital counterpart. From the analysis of operator occupancy rates, recommendations for improvements in the production process were formulated. These suggestions were further scrutinized through simulation. With the help of conducting the analysis, we were able to provide optimization suggestions that can reduce the costs of the production plant. Additionally, through statistical analysis of the model, we confirmed its accuracy and alignment with the real production process. The primary objective was to propose changes that would enable maintaining the same production output with fewer machine operators in the production plant.
