Abstract

Metode: Uporabili smo opisno metodo dela in metodo pregleda literature. Glede na zastavljeno raziskovalno vprašanje smo literaturo iskali v mednarodnih bazah podatkov PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE in Web of Science, z upoštevanjem določenih vključitvenih in izključitvenih meril ter limitov iskanja. Potek in prikaz iskanja znanstvene literature smo naredili po smernicah PRISMA. Izvedli smo narativno sintezo vsebine.

Secondary title: Quality of life of pregnant women with type 1 or type 2 diabetes
Secondary abstract: Introduction: The International Diabetes Federation reports that every sixth pregnant woman has diabetes, of which 13.6% already have diabetes before pregnancy. The purpose of the final work is to investigate the quality of life of pregnant women with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. Methods: We used a descriptive work method and a literature review method. According to the research question, we searched the literature in the international databases PubMed, CINAHL, SAGE and Web of Science, considering certain inclusion and exclusion criteria and search limits. The course and presentation of the search for scientific literature were made according to the guidelines of PRISMA. We performed a narrative synthesis of the content. Results: Five scientific articles were included in the final analysis. It was found that the quality of life of pregnant women with type 1 or 2 diabetes is significantly influenced by the support and empathy of the health care team, social support, family history, socio-demographic characteristics, knowledge, and acceptance of the disease. Discussion and conclusion: The support of the social environment and the health care team is crucial for improving the quality of life for pregnant women with type 1 or 2 diabetes. A healthy lifestyle significantly contributes to a better quality of life of pregnant women with type 1 or 2 diabetes, as pregnant women treated with insulin have been shown to have a worse quality of life.
