magistrsko delo
Abstract
Podatke smo zbrali s pomočjo tehnike anketiranja. V raziskavi je sodelovalo 174 reševalcev in reševalk. Analizo podatkov smo izvedli s programom IBM SPSS 28.0 in metodo deskriptivne statistike.
Razprava in zaključek: Kljub primerljivemu izobraževalnemu sistemu Slovenije s tujino imajo reševalci manj pristojnosti.

Introduction: The role of paramedics in the provision of medical services has begun to change with the progress of the medical system. With the fact that they must recognize certain acute conditions already in the field and start certain treatment procedures without a doctor, their responsibilities have increased. The purpose of this work is to investigate the education, skills and competencies of medical tehnicians in emergency medical care system abroad, as well as to investigate the perception of medical technicians in Slovenia about needs for additional education.
Methods: We used a descriptive method of work. We conducted a cross-sectional observational study. The data was collected using the survey technique. 174 medical tehnicians in emergency medical care system participated. Data analysis was performed using the IBM SPSS 28.0 program and the method of descriptive statistics.
Results: The survey results showed that with the current formal education in Slovenia, medical technicians receive insufficient knowledge and competencies to work the pre-hospital environment. They believe that they need additional education and competencies for work.
Discussion and conclusion: Despite the educational system of Slovenia being comparable to that of the other countries, rescuers have less competencies than those from abroad. It remains an open question whether interventions without the presence of physician are of high quality and safe and the results of patient outcomes are comparable. |
