Abstract

Izvedel sem reakcije med kofeinom in izbranimi kovinami prehoda, pri čemer je bil poudarek na sintezi novih spojin, ki bi vsebovale kofein kot ligand. Izvedenih je bilo pet tipov reakcij, v vsaki je bil prisoten kofein (L). Tipi reakcij se med seboj razlikujejo po vrsti topila, prisotnosti KSCN, prisotnosti koncentrirane kisline HCl, prav tako so se menjavale soli prehodnih kovin. Uporabljeni so bili naslednji kovinski ioni: Ni(II), Zn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Cu(II) in Fe(III). Po izvedenih sintezah so bili uspešno sintetizirani produkti analizirani z rentgensko strukturno analizo. Vsi produkti so bili analizirani še z infrardečo spektroskopijo (IR). Po opravljeni analizi sem ugotovil, da sem uspešno sintetiziral dve novi spojini, ki vsebujeta kofein. Eno koordinacijsko spojino s kofeinom in sol s kofeinskim kationom.

Secondary title: Attempts to synthesize new compounds with caffeine
Secondary abstract: Reactions between caffeine, as ligand, and preferred transition metals were accomplished to synthesize new compounds that include caffeine. All around there were five different types of reactions that were completed. In every single one there was caffeine compound (L). These five types of chemical reactions differed by the sort of solvent, by the presence of KSCN compound, by the presence of concentrated HCl acid or selected transition metal. The following transition metals were used: Ni(II), Zn(II), Co(II), Cd(II), Pb(II), Cu(II) and Fe(III). After syntheses were completed, successfully synthesized products were analysed with X-ray structural analysis, likewise all products were analysed by infrared spectroscopy (IR). In accord to performed analysis, I can say that I have successfully synthesized two new compounds. First one coordination compound with caffeine and another one salt including caffeine cation.
