diplomsko delo

Abstract

V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili projektno delo, pomen začetnega naravoslovja v predšolskem obdobju ter integracijo vrta in vrtnarjenja v učni načrt, skupaj z vlogo vzgojitelja.

Secondary title: Children of the Zarja Celje Kindergarten gardening and exploring herbs
Secondary abstract: The aim of the work entitled "Children from the Zarja Celje kindergarten gardening and learning about herbs" was to teach children about herbs, their use and cultivation. The work consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, we first introduced the project work, the importance of introducing science in preschool, the integration of the garden and gardening into the curriculum and the role of the teacher. We presented the children's connection with nature and their responsible attitude towards it and described the herbs we learned about. In the practical part, we focused on experiential learning and carried out a month-long project in which the children actively participated by observing the herbs and learning about them through their own experiences. Throughout the project, we were accompanied by a hand puppet that successfully took the children on a herbal journey. Throughout, the puppet asked them open and closed questions and encouraged them to develop their own ideas and think exploratively. At the end of the project work, we found that experiential learning, where the child is active all the time, makes them more cooperative, relaxed and communicative and they show a higher level of motivation and enjoyment of the activities than they would otherwise.
